Medical Review Policy
FODMAP Gut Diet is an educational publisher, not a medical practice. Content is not independently medically reviewed unless the page explicitly names a qualified reviewer, lists the reviewer’s relevant credential, and gives the review date.
We do not imply clinician review through a generic badge or unnamed “expert” attribution. At present, readers should treat pages without that explicit label as editorially reviewed only.
When clinical review is required
We prioritize qualified review for content about diagnosis, treatment, medicines or supplements, red-flag symptoms, pregnancy, children, eating disorders, or other higher-risk clinical decisions. Until that review occurs, the content must stay within general education, cite authoritative sources, and direct readers to appropriate care.
What a medical reviewer checks
- Clinical accuracy and alignment with current guidance
- Risk, contraindication, and red-flag language
- Whether uncertainty and individual variation are clear
- Whether cited evidence supports the material claims
A review label is removed or refreshed when a material update makes the earlier review stale. Editorial corrections follow our corrections policy.
